How do you work out a price?
I come out and have a proper look first. Once I've seen the surfaces and we've talked through what you're after, I'll send you a fixed written price within 24 hours, broken down room by room or elevation by elevation so you know exactly what's included. I don't charge by the hour and I don't work off a price list, because no two houses need the same thing.
Who will I actually be dealing with?
Me. Pail Painting is owner-operated, so I come and look at the job myself, put the price together, do the work, and I'm the one you ring if you've got a question halfway through. There's no office or salesperson in between, and nobody else to pass the job to.
How soon could you start?
It depends what's already booked in, and I'd rather give you a real date than an optimistic one. I only take on a handful of jobs at a time so each gets finished properly, so your quote will come with a start date I'm confident about, and that date is locked in once you accept.
Are you insured?
Yes, I carry $1,000,000 of public liability cover, so you're not exposed if something goes wrong while I'm on site.
Can you help me pick colours?
Happily, and most people want a hand with it. I'll give you my honest opinion standing in the actual room, which is usually more use than squinting at a chip under a shop light. If you're doing the whole house I can set up a proper consultation through Resene or Dulux.
